Brexit disaster is making Britain a weird place to live in

테리사 메이 총리가 화웨이의 5G 이동통신망 구축과 관련한 NSC의 회의 내용을 언론에 유출했다는 혐의로 Gavin Williamson 영국 국방부장관을 해임했다. NCS에서 메이총리가 5G 이동통신망 구축에 화웨이가 참여할 수 있는 길을 열어주겠다는 발언을 했다는 내용이 텔레그래프에 보도 되었는데, 미국이 동맹국들에게 화웨이의 5G 사업에서의 배제를 요청한 상황에서 메이총리의 입장이 곤란해졌을것으로 보인다.

London (CNN) - Brexit is exhausting. From the political class trying to deliver Brexit, to the voters who still have not seen it delivered, to the journalists trying to make sense of it, Brexit fatigue is making the UK a very odd country to live in.

This week, we saw two examples of the impact Brexit fatigue is having on both the governing and the governed.

Prime Minister Theresa May fired her Defense Secretary on Wednesday night for his alleged part in a leaking information from the National Security Council to the media. Williamson denies having anything to do with the leak, but the government says the matter is closed.

This is a big deal. A man who was until Wednesday in charge of the UK's defense policy stands accused of leaking information relating to national security to a journalist.

At least 41 dead in Russian plane fire

(CNN) - Forty-one people were killed when a Russian passenger plane made a fiery crash-landing Sunday at a Moscow airport, said Elena Markovskaya, a member of the country's Investigative Committee.

Two children are among the dead, according to the committee.

The Russian Superjet 100 was flying from Moscow to Murmansk when a fire broke out on board. Aeroflot Flight SU1492 returned to Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport, making a hard landing, news agency Interfax reported.

Thirty-seven people survived, Markovskaya told reporters at Sheremetyevo Airport. Five survivors are hospitalized, she said.

The plane had 73 passengers and five crew members on board. Russian state news agency TASS reported.

Xinjiang, China (CNN) - The small bedroom is frozen in time. The two little girls who used to sleep here left two years ago with their mother and now can't come home.

Their backpacks and school notebooks sit waiting for their return. A toy bear lies on the bed. Their clothes hang neatly in the closet.

The girls' grandmother says she can't bring herself to change it.

"The clothes still smell like them," she says, her words barely audible through heavy sobs.

Ansila Esten and Nursila Esten, ages 8 and 7, left their home in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with their mother, Adiba Hayrat, in 2017.

The three traveled to China where Adiba Hayrat planned to take a course in makeup application and visit her parents in the western border region of Xinjiang, leaving her husband, Esten Erbol, and then 9-month-old son Nurmeken behind in Kazakhstan, Esten told CNN.

Not long after she arrived, however, her husband says she was detained. He hasn't heard from her for more than two years.
